Wow! It's April 1st already, and that's no joke!  Before we know it, the end of the 2008-09 school year will be here!  As always at this time of the year, there are SEVERAL things going on all at once.  There are field trips both locally and out of town; concerts and end-of-the-year recitals; parent meetings for incoming 6th graders and outgoing 8th graders; the start of Spring sports; parent-teacher conferences and on and on.  In addition, students are still responsible for all of the normal things that occur here at FMS.  Grades and classwork, homework and effort are still paramount to ending the year successfully.  Whew! Are you tired yet? 

Moving into Spring also brings up several reminders that we have to give to students during this time of the year.  Most of those reminders revolve around the idea that all of the rules they learned at the beginning of the school year are still in existence and still matter greatly.  Some of these reminders are:

*dress code: students are expected to dress appropriately at all times

*cell phones and electronic devices: should be stored in locker; must be kept 'off' during school hours

*hallway behavior: keep hands and feet to self; "we were just playing" is NOT an excuse

*classroom behavior: follow individual classroom rules

*after school hours: students must be in a SUPERVISED activity if on school campus after 2:40.

In the coming weeks, there will be many meetings and scheduled activities. Please check your district calendar and the district Website so that you may stay abreast of what is going on.  I wish you a health, happy Spring as the wonders of rebirth occur throughout our state!
