Students are able to complete book reviews as a "gumball machine" activity when they complete their work. They are required to write literary letters after each book they read during Guided Reading/Reader's Workshop. As a free choice activity during Reader's Workshop, they can write a "character journal" from the perspective of the main character of their book. Feel free to post comments on these great pieces here on our blog!
