2007- 2008: It Was a Very Good Year
Suffolk Council Reading Council Poetry Contest
Each year some of the students' work is submitted to the Suffolk County Reading Council Writing Contest. A few years ago, I was lucky enough to have two students win second and third place in the poetry contest. Last year, Julia placed third in the contest. We were so proud of her.
BOCES Technology Model Schools Grant The students work on their Amazing Animal Fact files has allowed us to receive the BOCES Technology Model Schools Grant. We earned $1000 dollars for our school to spend on technology materials to enhance teaching and learning. We were one of only five grants awarded in the county.
