On Thursday, April 30, the first members of the newly established Columbia High School’s Business and Marketing Honor Society were inducted at a ceremony in their honor. The first inductees are Kimberly Allen, Kyle Breen, Natalie Cullings, Samantha DiMascio, John Dunn, Scott Frament, Rebecca Harris, Ryan Hotaling, Jacob Messier, Robert Peluso, Nicholas Roe, and Jackson Young. In order to qualify, the juniors or seniors must have completed three credits in business courses with an average of 88 percent. In addition, their cumulative average had to be at least an 80 percent. The students demonstrated strong leadership skills and outstanding character as proven by recommendation letters. Laraine Gillette, Career and Technical Education Chair, officiated the ceremony. Also in attendance were business teachers Aimee Tarsa, Tracy Farrell, and Donna Shepardson, as well as Kate Lawler, business education student teacher.
