The holiday season is fast approaching! The children have been enjoying all the festivities of the season. October was a very, very busy month in room 120. We went on a School Yard field trip with Ecologist in residence George Steele (Be sure to scroll down and click on Mr. Steele's visit for a glimpse of our Ecologist in Residence Program! ), we welcomed the Defreestville Fire Department and learned all the important lessons of Fire Safety, we had a great time on our Field Trip to Liberty Ridge Farm and we enjoyed the Theater Performance of “Nate the Great” at Genet and a Performance at Bell Top of "Felix Petri"! I am sure November and December will also be full of many exciting and educational experiences as well. Miss Guerin completed her Student Teaching experience with us on October 17th. Miss Guerin did a great job and she will be missed. We wish her Good Luck in the future. I am looking forward to seeing you at our Halloween Parade and Party on Friday beginning at 1:30PM. On Tuesday November 25th our First Graders will take part in a "Thanksgiving Feast". Our class will be making turkey soup. Please send in two carrots, two stalks of celery, one can of chicken or turkey broth, or one bag of wide egg noodles by Friday November 21st. Once again, Thank you for your help!
