Welcome to my website. Here are some kid friendly websites that the children can have access to by clicking on the links at the left. In November, we will begin our study of Native Americans and how they played an important role in the life of the Pilgrims. First grades will be having a Powwow, where we will perform songs and wear our Native American attire. We will travel to the NY State Museum on November 21 for a program on Native Americans and The Scotia-Glenville traveling Museum will be coming to our class with their "People of the Longhouse" presentation. Our author of the month is Eric Carle. On November 10, Red Mill will be having a Veteran's Day Assembly to honor our local Veterans. All community members are welcome to attend. Please send in a large white t shirt by November 3rd so that we may have our Native American shirts ready for our pow wow. Our class will be participating in Scholastic Book Clubs Classrooms Care program. After our class reads 100 books(by Dec. 19), 100 books will be donated to children in need. Any book that a child reads at home or in school counts. We will have a chart in our room where we will keep track of the number of books that we read. Dates to remember: Nov. 10-Emergency go home drill and no school on Nov. 11 Nov.20-Parent/Teacher conference day
