Mrs. Smelter First Grade Teacher Mrs. Weir Teacher Assistant Sunday, November 22, 2009 Dear Parents, Because of the short 2 day week, the only homework this week will be to continue to read 10 minutes a night and record in the Reading Record. Reading Records will be collected on Friday, December 4th, so please make sure there are at least 8 entries over the next 2 weeks. Tuesday is another San Ramon fundraiser. For one dollar, the children can wear colorful socks. Thanks for all of the food items and books that came in last Thursday for our special Mass of giving thanks and helping those less fortunate. It was a lovely way for the children to share some of their blessings with those in need in this season of giving thanks. Mrs. Moss will continue to collect books for the school in Africa until the first week in December if you still want to participate in that. If you have not done so already, please send in an empty child-sized shoe box wrapped in Christmas paper for our Christmas show. Rose was so surprised to see her Aunt Jennifer as the Secret Reader last Friday. Mrs. Crawford treated the class to The Doghouse, Willoughby and the Lion, and All in a Day. Mrs. Crawford certainly delighted the children with her engaging renditions of those books. It was a great storytime for all. Many thanks to Mrs. Crawford for coming to share her wonderful books.
