Welcome. Just a brief note to start the year off. We will be very focused on FCAT WRITES, Math and Reading. Please read with your child 20 minutes a night. Please CHECK your child's backpack nightly and check to make sure homework is completed AND PUT in the backpack for the next day. Please make sure your child's agenda is signed every night. The spelling this year will run in conjuction with our reading series. Please view my resource page with dates, words and assignments. Every Friday the students will get a Take Home Test. This is a five minute small quiz that is not aimed at being difficult, just keep them thinking for the weekend. Please have them come to you and sign it WHEN YOU HAVE CHECKED IT OVER. If you see a problem the student may have missed you may circle it and have them do it over until they get it right. They will be due the following Monday. There is no reason all Take Home Tests shouldn't be 100"s :). Specials schedule is : A day = P.E./ B day = Music /C day = P.E. /D day = Science /E day = Art /F Day= Tech G day = Club day. Lunch will be 11:45 - 12:20
