The Brigantine Student Council
|
|
The Brigantine Student Council forms the student government. This group of young children, led by our librarian, provides the school community opportunity for moral action utilizing a core of children as liaisons/coordinators of service projects. Third and fourth grade students meet bimonthly to plan service activities for the school community to participate in. This empowers all students to feel the sense of achievement when a good deed is accomplished. The Student Council has worked with the Clean Communities program of NJ to help promote earth friendly classrooms and initiate a recycling program into the school, raised funds through bake sales to support the local mission, Sister Jean’s, and has helped to collect goods for food drives.
