The primary goal at Brigantine is for character education to become a natural, innate process for every child.  

On opening day every year, the principal encourages the school community to be kind to one another, explaining the need to uphold our high character expectations by making good choices, appreciating/respecting others and ourselves. From here, the teacher instructs the children how treat each other compassionately. Children who make exemplary choices are recognized by the teachers/principal. Children are often caught in the act of doing “good”. This positive motivation helps children want to achieve more success.
