Parent/Teacher Conferences are Coming! Parent Teacher Conferences are November 16th – November 20th and we will be dismissed at 12:30 daily. I want to make as many options available to you for times – so I am going to be holding a few conferences after school on both Thursday, November 12th and Friday, November 13th. In order to have valuable conferences with each person, I am going to schedule ½ hour conferences with each parent. Please be on time for your conference. Below is a list of times that I will be holding conferences. If you would like to order books/software as holiday gifts, please send your order in an envelope along with a little note. I will make sure I hand the orders to you privately once they have arrived. You are welcome to place you orders on-line, just click on "Software Orders" in the main menu. Helicopter Landing!
 The Helicopter Landing was fabulous! We were fortunate to see both the SDPD and SDFD land their helicopters land! We also saw the SWAT team, Sheriff, Border Patrol, Fire Engine and Coronado Police Department! What a day! I will post pictures soon!
FREE BOOKS!!! When our class orders books from Scholastic, we earn points. Once we have enough points, we can trade them in for books and cool items for our classroom (that's how we got our puppet theater, games, etc.). This year, Scholastic has added another incentive for us. For every order the K-3 families place on-line, our class will receive a free book!! If you are not comfortable with placing your order on-line, you are more than welcome to hand your order in to class -- we will still earn points toward classroom goodies from your order. There is a "Scholastic Book Orders" tab in the main menu which will explain what to do for those of you who are interested.
 Family Art Night
Where: Hearst Auditorium
When: November 4th from 6:30 - 7:30 pm
What: Spend an evening creating a masterpiece with your child. Choose from three different projects: Monet Bridge, Manet Flowers or Eric Carle Collage!

 HELP!!! We have a LARGE NEED for parents to sign up to teach the Art Corps lessons! They are easy lessons and we can get other parents to come in our room to help support you! Please help -- this is an AMAZING program that cannot happen without YOU!!
