Homework is an integral part of the third grade curruculum. I will assign homework on Monday through Thursday evenings. All assignments should be checked and signed by parents. I feel that parents should go over all homework to catch any errors and redirect their child immediately. This will help your child to understand their mistakes. I also feel this teaches children to be more careful with their work.

Kids should read at least 100 minutes each week at home and record on their reading logs. Please total the number of minutes read for the month also. All reading logs are due on the first day of each month. I will hand out new logs on the 1st of each month as well. There will be 3 book projects during the year. You will know about them in advance.

Spelling tests will take place on Thursdays! Pretests will take place each Friday. In case your child has misplaced his or her spelling book, I have the lists posted on this web site.
