These are just a few of the comments from former students and parents. More will be coming. Final grades are already posted, so they have nothng to fear! Take a look and see if the Pod People are something you'd like to be a part of:
- ...Thank you for being such a good teacher. She was really happy this year and came a long way. I'm so proud....by D.A.(a parent)
- I sincerely hope that you enjoy your last few years of teaching. You've done a great job...by S.W.
- What can I say? If there was a teacher in all her school years that is going to leave a lasting impression, that is you! She really enjoyed your class. That you for a great year...K.D. (a parent)
- Thank you for taking such good care of him this year...L.M. (a parent)
- We appreciate all your hard work this year. She had a great 6th grade experience and we thank you for that...D.H. (a parent)
- You have taught me so much this year and I am grateful for that. This has been a very fun year, and it has gone by so quickly!...A.H.
- I will miss you a lot. You are a great teacher. If anyone doesn't like you, they're crazy. You can be a little mean, but that's okay because I can handle it. You have toughened me up with your humor. I'll miss you...S.M.
- You are a great teacher and have been a wonderful influence on my daughter...J.M. (a parent)
- This year has come to an end so soon. You always made me laugh and that is what kept me wanting to learn more from you. There were also the talks about life that made me look at myself, too. I really enjoyed your class. Thank you for everything...R.S.
- Thank you for being an awesome teacher. I am really glad I switched to your class. I know a lot of people wanted to, but I was able to. I am really glad you were my teacher...L.P.
Tips to survive 6th grade: 1. STAY AWAY FROM THE BATHROOMS! 2. Do not eat cafeteria food (plus it might crawl off your plate.) 3. Do all your homework and turn it in on time. Also be ready for a heavy homework load. That's all.....by A.P. Mr. Barney can be like a charging bull, evil in every way (I mean that in the best possible way)! He can also be like dissecting a frog, and his stories can be COMPLETELY nasty! DON'T LISTEN TO THE KETCHUP STORY! In the end, he is a great teacher, and I hope you have as much fun as I did!..... by G.S. l:~) I'm really sad that he won't be my teacher anymore. He is my most favorite teacher that I have had my whole life. Good luck next year and have fun!.... by R.B. You really inspired him and kept him interested in learning. He did say, "I wish I could have Mr. Barney every year." I wanted to let you know that you did a terrific job keeping the kids interested. I especially appreciated how organized you were throughout the year. Keep up the good work!..... by K.E. (a parent) Thank you for your hard work, dedication and professionalism for teaching our dauhter. She sure is very proud of you. She always share all your stories to our family circle. Again thank you for giving our daughter an excellent and memorable experience on her first middle school year (six grade).... by G.M. (a parent) Thanks so much for being such a great teacher; they are hard to come by! She really enjoyed your class. The most memorable conversations brought home all year about your class are that you loooove to tell them lurid tales right before lunch! Some of which make them want to stay away from the cheese pizza, some that make them gather in gaggles and gossip, and some that make them jump out of bed in the middle of the night (really)! Eventually, my reply turned from who did what to "What'd he tell you!" I thought it was marvelous!!! Of course her timing was never right as I wasn't in the middle of my rare prime rib dinner. Personally, I thought it was great. I can only aspire to conjure up such stories/facts before meal time. It's a small way of getting even for the days of restless 12 yr. olds. Kudos!!!!! Anyway, thanks again for a great year! Can we do it again!? ..... by B.D. (a parent) He had a good year with you-we're really happy with his grades, and even more with how he has matured this year. You were his favorite teacher, and I think he was a bit disappointed that he didn't get his award from you. Nonetheless, we are proud of him for receiving the outstanding science student award. It seems that everyday, he tells us one of your many stories you told his class during the year-he really learned many pieces of info from you, and had fun doing it...... by M.C. (a parent)
