  Welcome to

Mrs. Bailey's

Pre-K / Music Website

"Whose child is this?"  I asked one day

Seeing a little one out at play.

"Mine," said the parent with a tender smile,

"Mine to keep a little while

To bathe his hands and comb his hair

To tell him what he is to wear

To prepare him that he may always be good

And each day do the things he should."

"Whose child is this?"  I asked again

As the door opened wide and someone came in.

"Mine," said the teacher with a tender smile,

"Mine to keep a little while

To teach him how to be gentle and kind

To train and direct his dear little mind

To help him live by every rule

And get the best he can from school!"

ABOUT THE TEACHER:  I have been teaching for 34 years -

 grades 1, 2, 4, 6, transitional 1st, pre-k and kindergarten.

I spend a lot of time in the summer planning and preparing activites for my pre-k classroom.   Pre-k is lots of fun and very rewarding.

With the help of parents and school these kids will really "TAKE-OFF!"

Please feel free to call the school and schedule a conference whenever necessary.

I love getting the students ready for performances, teaching some fundamentals of music, and having fun with musical learning games.  This year my elementary music classes will be singing at the Veterans' Day program.  This is an especially important event and very meaningful to me because my youngest son did two tours of duty in Iraq.  We will also be performing the Christmas musical, THE MICE BEFORE CHRISTMAS, and doing some caroling.  Other musical events are planned for later in the year.

My husband is a hospital controller, and we have three grown sons - Matt, a nurse/medical equipment salesman; Mark, a draftsman/oil field equipment salesman;  and Luke, a student in nuclear medicine. In March we added a new family member when Mark married Luzann.

Our teacher helpers are Mrs. Lori Harrah and Mrs. Amanda Taylor.  They are both an integral part of our pre-k classroom.  Please check out their web pages.
