BIENVENIDOS-WELCOME! MANNERS MATTER....in Espanol Too!!! Kindergarteners are learning their colors with the help of a puppet named Rosco. They can locate many different colors within their classrooms. They are also practicing their manners in Spanish, especially gracias (thank you) and de nada (you're welcome). First graders are continuing to work on their Mexico Books. They are doing a great job!! They are learning about the customs and history of Mexico along with its flag and geographical location. Second graders have done a great job with the alphabet in Spanish. This is not an easy task but they have handled it beautifully! Ask a second grader to recite the alphabet in Espanol. They would be happy to do so for you. Third graders are talking about La Familia (family). They just finished drawing family portraits in which they labeled family members in Spanish. Now they are preparing stories about La Familia Perez. They will tell their stories to the class. Fourth graders can recite the days of the week and the months of the year quite well these days. They are now beginning to talk about the date and the year. They will be practicing how to say when their birthdays are in Espanol. Fifth graders have been studying vocabulary for food items. The list seems to be endless because they all have a favorite food or two that they want to be able to say in Spanish. They are preparing to open their own restaurants and create Spanish menus for these restaurants. Should be tasty! Sixth graders have focused on telling time in Spanish. They have done a great job with this lesson. Ask them Que hora es? They will answer in Espanol. Excelente!! \
