Welcome to The Computer Room January 2012 Mrs. Szafranic Grades K-3. Mrs. Babbage Grades 4-6.
Kindergarten
First, Second, and Third Grade First, Second, and Third Graders are working with Treasure Math Storm. Treasure Math Storm is a math based adventure game. Students climb a mountain by reading time, using placement tiles, and balancing scales with equal equations. They also get to capture elves with nets and make piles of snowballs.
Fourth Grade The fourth graders have really taken to working with Logo Programming. They have learned the commands to go forward, back, right, and left. They worked like a scientist to figure the turn they would need to make a perfect square. Those commands will be applied as the students work on their future projects. Fifth Grade The fifth graders have been working on presentations using various presentation tools. They created a Prezi for their Social Studies class and now they are working on a Power Point for Religion. Sixth Grade The sixth graders are quickly picking up the programming language of Micro Worlds EX. They are taking the first steps towards animation. Their projects will become more complex as they add various tools.
