Each student will participate in an academic assessment program called SuccessMaker® Enterprise (“SME”).  SME is a learning environment that offers a powerful combination of management system, assessment, and curriculum resources to provide administrators, teachers, and students with tools to improve academic performance.  The SME courseware suite offers hours of interactive learning activities in reading and language arts, mathematics, and ESL and bilingual instruction.  Student results are available for teachers to view.

In addition, all students will work in a variety of programs that lend themselves to projects that allow the students to meet the technology competencies at their specific grade levels.  The majority of projects utilize Microsoft Office 2007 programs (including, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Publisher). 

Students will also learn the basics of touch typing.  We will focus on the importance of proper posture, hand position and key placement.
