P.E. - Grading Policy

There are 5 points available for each day of P.E.

- Dressing out earns 2 points. If you do not dress out you are not elegible to get the other 3 points and will receive a zero for PE and twenty points on the written assignment if completed for that day.

-Participating in activity earns 1.5 points. 

-Sportsmanship/behavior earns 1.5 points. 

-The total number of points earned for the day is multiplied by 20 and that is the student's grade for the day.

Example: Dressed out & participates, but has a bad attitude  -  3.5 points will be earned.

3.5 x 20 = 70 points for the day.

Those students who do not dress out for whatever reason, other than a doctors excuse, are required to do a written assignment that will be due at the end of the class period. This can earn up to 20 of the day's points back.

The P.E. grade and health homework account for 40% of the student's grade.

Health Grades

Health quizzes and tests account for 60% of the student's grade.

Any health homework assigned is due the next class meeting unless otherwise stated.
