Open to 9th - 12th grade.

Prerequisite:  Algebra I or Concurrent enrollment in Algebra I

Course Description:  This course is a college preparatory course designed to allow students to study programming methodology an design, data structures, and algorithms.  Upon completion of this course, students will have an extensive introduction to the language of Java, completing assignments using many Java environments to ensure mastery of those topics.  Students are provided frequent opportunities to enhance their problem-solving and logical-thinking skills.  In addition, students are prepared to continue on to Computer Science AP.

Course can count for one credit of technology applications.
