Social Studies Units

This year we will be using a new resource, The Nystrom Atlas of Our Country's History. This resource will allow us an opportunity to work on our map skills while reviewing major historical events that shaped our nation. I will be using this resource to work on extended written responses using text features, a skill that is tested on our state PAWS test. Students will be reading non fiction resources and using web sites to further their knowledge of our country's history. Each unit will conclude with a puzzle page created by my class in 2005-2006.
