    CLASS RULES

 

Chris Rapstine   7/8 Math          Conference Period:  11:50-12:35

 

SUPPLIES:

                   textbook                         plastic notebook with rings

                   pencil                              ruler/protractor/compass

                   notebook paper               red pen or pencil

 

THINGS I EXPECT OF YOU EVERYDAY:

1.        There is NO excuse for bad manners.  Respect and courtesy will be expected at all times.

2.        Bring supplies everyday.

3.        All homework will be completed on regular notebook paper or math pads.

No spiral paper.

4.        No gum, candy, or cokes in class.

5.        No talking in class unless called upon.

6.        Go to the bathroom and get drinks during passing period only.

7.        Always have textbooks covered.

8.        Do not mark on the desks or in the textbooks.

9.        Do all math work in pencil, and check in red only.

10.    Class starts when the bell rings.  Be in your seat.

11.    Stay seated until I dismiss you.

12.    If absent, it is your responsibility to get any make-up work.

 

GRADING:

          The following points will be deducted for late homework:

          1 day—20 points

          2 days—50 points

          3 days or more—100 points

          No late projects will be graded.

 

Class averages will be computed as follows:

                                                                   A = 90-100            Outstanding

          Tests  60 %                                       B = 80-89              Good

          Homework  30 %                              C = 75-79              Average

          Projects  10 %                                   D = 70-74              Poor

                                                                   F = Below 70        Unsatisfactory

 

My classes will usually complete 4 homework assignments and 1 test per week.  I will also assign 1 home project and 1 folder grade per six weeks, which must be signed by a parent.

 

Daily Tutorials  7:30-8:00
