Hello! Each child is bringing home a letter for parents. This letter explains many of the routines and expectations I have for the students this year. Although much of this information was discussed at Open House, there is some information in the letter I forgot to discuss. Please read the letter and return the detached piece to school with your student tomorrow.
FYI - The county has changed some of our calendar days. Please make these changes to your calendar.
Make-Up Days for Hurricane Fay:
    Nov. 10th
    Dec. 18th
    Dec. 19th
Switch of Teacher Planning Day
The teacher planning day originally scheduled for October 20th has been changed to October 24th.

September 2, 2008  4:25 PM
I hope everyone had a nice break. We're busy picking up where we left off last week. Most students remembered to get their Conduct Folder signed by a parent and return it to school today, however several students did forget. Please, ask your student if they returned their conduct folder.
Many parents want to know how they can help their student. By the time a child reaches 5th grade, the child should have already mastered their multiplication tables. Unfortunately, this does not always happen. We're going to be working hard throughout the year to master our multiplication tables before the students reach middle school. Please practice with your student. This simple skill will help your student master harder skills throughout their mathematical life. I have also included a game in my Educational Games section that has multiplication table flashcards :)

August 29, 2008  2:49 PM
Miss Paffie's students are bringing home Conduct Folders. These folders should be signed and returned to school Tuesday (since we do not have school Monday). Miss Mason's class does not have Conduct Folders this week. They will begin bringing home Conduct Folders next week.

August 28, 2008  8:17 PM
Dear Families,
Thank you so much for attending our Open House tonight. It was great to see so many of you involved in your child's education. Miss Mason and I believe strongly in working collaboratively with you so that you child can be the best that they can be. We're very excited for this year and look forward to talking to you again.
