Classroom News About Me

First I would like to say that I'm very excited to start another year here at Hillsboro High.  A little about me...  I came to Hillsboro in 2004, after teaching five years at Grandview Middle School.  At Grandview I also was the Freshman and JV boys basketball coach.  I received my bachelor degree from Fontbonne University and I'm currently working on my master's through Missouri Baptist University.  While at Fontbonne played three sports; soccer, basketball and golf.  This was highlighted by a trip to the NCAA Div III men's basketball tournament in 1996.  I graduated from Ladue High School in 1994, while at Ladue I was the only member of my graduating class to receive the "Golden Letter Award" for playing three sports all four years of high school.  I also received all- conference awards in soccer and basketball.

I married my lovely wife Stephanie in 2005, and we had our beautiful baby girl Abby in June of 2007.   As a third generation teacher and coach I guess you can say that teaching is in my blood.  I'm looking forward to a great year in the classroom and on the field.
