Tech Talk Jr. kindergarten through 3rd grade will continue to use a variety of keyboarding drawing and painting software. 4th and 5th graders will work on intro to spreadsheets, logo path, and fast math. Along with other microsoft applications. 6th through 8th grades are researching internet sites. They are also using several Microsoft applications. All grades will continue with computer terminology. http://www.watchtower.org Watching the World Welcome April-June!! The technology savvy 7th and 8th graders will be finishing up spreadsheet in excel, and evaluating web sites. This month they will be comparing valid and hoax sites. By understanding that not everything they read on the internet is true they will be able to better use an accurate data in their collaborate projects in the content areas.
Our Dynamic 5th and 6th graders will spring into microsoft word excel. They will also create a chart showing the types,fact, and characteristics of igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks as well as the method of formation for each rock.Social 4th graders will create a map of the 13 colonies and include a map key that divides the colonies into the new England,Middle, and southern colonies. Students will add pictures to their maps and map legends that represent each colony.Inquisitive 1st, 2nd and 3rd graders will be broadening their knowledge and understanding of Earth resources. Students will create a chart showing how humans use the natural resources of rock, plants, water, and soil.Enthusiastic Jr. k and kindergartners are experimenting with drawing tools in word and tux paint to create their own graphic displays and to continue sharpening their keyboarding skills.
