Intermediate Special Services Information

All 5th/6th grade classrooms are housed in both the North and South Buildings. The Special Services classrooms including the Speech Therapy room are located on the second floor of the North Building. This provides easy access from both buildings to receive services.
CWC (Class Within A Class) now becomes Co-Teaching
During the 2007-2008 school year you may see that CWC is no longer the term being used on the IEP or by the staff. Instead we will be using co-teaching to provide special services to IEP students for Communication Arts (Reading and Written Language) and/or Math within the regular classroom. Co-teaching occurs when general and special education teachers work collaboratively to teach students who represent a range of abilities, including students with disabilities, in the the general education classroom.
