Hot Dots
This project was based on the ceramic art work of Carolyne Brennan. She is an Austalian artist who works in clay, but decorates her work with dots. The students created their own ceramic bowls by laying slabs of clay on top of plaster of paris molds. Once the clay had hardened and been removed from the molds, the students decorated their work using underglazes and hot dots. The finished work was really amazing and the students were quite impressed that they were able to do something so wonderful.
