Matisse Polar Paper Cutouts
This project is integrated with the grade 3 theme on Polar regions. Students were asked to research a polar animal and create some simple drawings of it. Next, they were introduced to Henri Matisse and his paper cutouts. Students were asked to create a paper cutout using the animal they had research as well as organic and geomatric shapes. Overall, a very successful project.
