Rainforest Tempera Resist
This is one of my most favorite projects that I do with my students. It is an integrated project with Grade 3. They have been studying the rainforest in their classes and I was asked to help out by having the kids do a representation of their favorite animal. The process requires the students to paint their image with 3 layers of paint, paint the whole painting with India ink and then wash it off. The India ink stays where there was not any paint and washes off where there was paint. The kids love the final result.
