The Elementary Art program is set up for students to create art in a safe, friendly and fun environment. Our goals for the program are to help students:

• Develop, express and evaluate ideas.
• Instill a desire and ability to create.
• Produce, read and interpret visual images and objects.
• Recognize and understand artistic achievement in society.

Students in grades one to five currently come to are for 60 minutes once in a six day cycle. Students are exposed to a variety of media and themes during the year. Ideas for projects come from various sources, but we rely heavily on the influences of what is going on in the regular classroom, art history, our host culture and that of other cultures around the world.
