Dear Parents and Students of Room 24,

Fifth grade is the most exciting year of all, and I am thrilled to be adding 32 new children to my daytime family...Welcome! To the right, you'll see me with my handsome husband, Patrick, and our beautiful fifteen-year old daughter, Brenna, who was once in these halls herself as an Abby Reinke fifth grader. She is now a sophomore at Great Oak High School...where does the time go?

Time will fly for you as fast as it did for me with my child, I'm sure, and so I'm very happy to provide you and your family with this website so that being a part of our classroom and our learning will always be within reach. I hope you enjoy using it as much as I enjoy creating it. I will soon be changing this homepage to add current info. as soon as parents have had a chance to read it. So, please take a look and tell your child that you know how to find our website and are ready to go!

Fundamentally, this website has been designed to support information that has already been available to you in the classroom. I would never assume that all students and their parents have daily access to working computers or, that you would be able to rely on this website as a primary means of information. Knowing how unpredictable computers can be that would be dangerous!

Instead, my website is a complimentary tool, one that merely reinforces what you have already been informed of in one of the following ways: my daily reminder binder information to the kids, the ARES office notifications, my notes home or e-mails, and/or my oral communication to you and your child. For example, you won't see a homework assignment on this website that has not already been communicated in your child's daily reminder binder. This will serve as an added piece of clarification, especially so when your child is absent.

Also, our website cannot attempt to duplicate all of the information and dates that are forwarded weekly to you from the office. It primarily supports our own classroom curriculum and happenings, plus a few more surprises added in for fun. (But, ignore the classroom store icon...I don't use this part of the website.)
