WHO IS MRS. HALL?!?!?  You all, I think, know me well enough by now... I am open, honest, fair and approachable.  I love working at Storm Grove Middle School and take pride in our Stingrays :)

As most of you know, this year I am the Storm Grove Middle School Teacher of the Year -- and have been selected as the Indian River County School District 2013 Teacher of the Year!!!!  I am excited to head to the state competition this summer and will do my best to proudly represent Indian River County's culture and excellent community.

I was born in New Jersey and moved to Florida in 1989, when I started Middle School here in Indian River County.   I was a student in the first graduating class of Sebastian River High School in 1996.  I recieved my Associates Degree from Indian River State College and then transferred up to the University of Florida (GO GATORS!!), where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in History and my Master's Degree in Social Studies Education.   This is my 9th year teaching in Indian River County. I helped open Storm Grove Middle School last year! Before becoming a Stingray, I worked for 7 years at Sebastian River High School.  I am committed to continuing to make SGMS the best middle school in the district.

I am happily married to Mr. Michael Hall, who teaches at Sebastian River High School, who was named 2011 SRHS teacher of the year and was one of five county finalists!  We have three beautiful little girls...  Elizabeth, who is 4 years old, Guinevere who is 3 years old, and Victoria who is 1 year old.  Elizabeth is a very intense young lady who wears her emotions on her sleeve.  She is passionate about everything she does.  Guinevere has a more laid back attitude (unless you take her toys) and has a cute, tom boy, confident attitude most of the time.  Victoria is such a sweet baby girl.  She's walking very well, can say a few words, and after 14 months, finally started getting teeth -- she has had 8 teeth come in over the past 6 weeks, and she still keeps that beaming smile on her face.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading and scrapbooking, going for walks, organizing, playing on my Wii, watching movies and travelling.  I am currently reading through the Harry Potter Series... I'm about half-way through book 6 and am hoping to finish them in time to still catch the final movie in theaters! I am working on four separate scrapbooks right now:  one for each girl, and one family album. This summer we stayed in town, but usually during the summer we hit the road. I have been to 38 states and 4 other countries so far.  Since 2011 began, I have lost 38 pounds through diet (Weight Watchers) and excercise.  So, I've lost all of my pregnancy weight, but I still have 30 more pounds to lose, so only bring me healthy treats!

As for sports, we of course watch all the Gator Games, but we also watch NFL and NASCAR.  I am a newly formed BroncoGator (thanks to Tim Tebow going to the Broncos), but my standard team is the Giants -- Mr. Hall is a Seahawk.  As far as NASCAR, I have been a Ryan Newman fan since I started watching during his rookie year when Mr. Hall and I started dating.

Teaching has always been my passion.  Since I was 5, I have wanted to teach and I like to think that this passion has helped me to positively influence my classroom and my students.  History is an interest I developed in college, but after travelling the US numerous times, I cannot imagine a course I would want to teach more...  I am a US patriot and love our great Nation and I hope to show students just how lucky we are to be in such a great country.
