Small three hole puncher that fits in binder 2 stretchy book covers Important Reading Procedures · You must keep a Reading/English binder. This is the 3-ring binder mentioned on your supply list. In class, we will organize the binder using the tab dividers you have purchased. All reading work is to be kept in this binder. The binder comes to class everyday. · When the bell rings, pencils must be sharpened and you must be in your seat doing bellwork. It is your responsibility to check the bellwork and begin work. Grades will be taken on some of these. · The consequence for no homework is a 0. I do not accept late work. I do drop the lowest daily grade at the end of the 6 weeks, so that allows everyone to miss one homework assignment without it bringing down your grade. · You must always write with a pencil. Work in ink pen will not be accepted. · Grade sheets must be signed each week. Typically these will go out on Wednesday. You will have two days to bring these back. If they are not back in two days, you receive an afterschool enrichment and the grade sheet will be mailed home to your parents. · Do not EVER talk while I am talking! Use your manners! · During a lesson, you should not get out of your seat for any reason. · Watch your mouth when speaking to the teacher OR other students. Rudeness will not be tolerated in this classroom!!! · Grading policy: Test = 30% Daily work = 70% · You are responsible for your own make-up work. I will not come to you about make-up work. Any work you miss will remain a zero unless made up within the allotted time. School policy says that you have one day per day missed to make up work. This means that you need to find out about make-up work the day you return to school! · Please do not leave your belongings in the aisle. All belongings must be under your desk, or they need to be left in the locker. · Clean up after yourself. I have never come into any of your rooms and made a mess and left my trash, so please do not do so in mine. · If ever I must leave the room for some reason, DO NOT GET OUT OF YOUR SEAT FOR ANY REASON. This is one of my most important rules!
