STORY OF THE WEEK

The Farmer in the Hat

Our story this week is about a group of children who put on a farm play. What do you think will happen when several children want to play the same part?  All of them want to be "the farmer".  Who will be the lucky one to get picked to play the farmer?  We'll just have to read to find out.

GRAMMAR SKILLS

We will understand that a question is an asking sentence.  It begins with a capital letter and ends with a question mark(?).

The children will learn that a word that names a person, a place, a thing, or an animal is called a noun.
