Meet the Teacher

Dear Parents and Children,

With much excitement and enthusiasm, I welcome you to the 2011-2012 school year at Peters Elementary School! I am delighted to have this opportunity to work with you and your first grader this year. I just know this will be an enjoyable, memorable, and rewarding year for all of us.

As you probably already know, I am Mrs. Grammes. I have been teaching at Peters Elementary for the past 18 years. I live in Lehighton, Pa with my husband, my daughter, my dog, and my cat. My daughter's name is Lily, my dog's name is Greta, and my cat's name is Katie. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family. I also love going to the beach, jogging, and reading great books. Teaching first graders is my greatest passion of all!

I am very excited to start this new school year. We will have so much fun in first grade. We will be just like one, big, happy family who cares about and helps each other.

It's going to be a wonderful year for all of us. I am looking forward to getting to know each and every one of you!
