Hello from Mrs. Galagan!
Fourth graders are amazing! Getting to know every student is what makes my job rewarding, and helps me want to come to school every day. To get us started, allow me to introduce myself to you.
Here are some basic facts:
1. I have been teaching in Cody for 22 years, and I still LOVE it!
2. I have three grown children, none are married, and they're all awesome!
3. Did you see a stray dog hair on my clothes today? That would be because Molly, Bella, and Gabe are very loving dogs who crave attention, and shed a bit in the process.
4. I spend a lot of time at school, but when I'm not there, I can be found reading a book in some quiet place, listening to or playing music, or taking care of things at my house.
Other stuff you may not know about me:
1. I have a secret dream of traveling the old Route 66 across America. Here's my plan - I'd like to do this before I turn 55, get autographs from 44 interesting people I meet along the way, travel for 33 days, take pictures of at least 22 "Muffler Men" statues that I see on the route, rent my parents RV for $11 a day, and the memories will be PRICELESS!
2. My Dad is my hero. He is gentle and soft-spoken, and respects people for who they are. He was once a 5th grade teacher and an elementary principal. His influence is why I teach today.
3. I dislike lima beans. I pick them out of my mixed vegetables, and sneak them to my dogs.
