Roles for the Assistant Coaches and Sub-Varsity Head Coaches Everyone has a unique and differing point of view that they bring to the table. It is no different with assistant coaches and sub-varsity head coaches. I value different points of view and look at our program as a collaboration. We do need to have a shared vision for success for our team and understand the common goals for how to reach that high-level of success. This should be a partnership and we need to utilize each coach's strengths to maximize our effectiveness in implementing our strategy for success. Basic Coach Flemmer Goals: - Team First
- High-Intensity
- Blue-Collar Attitude
- Do the little things better than anyone else: Attention to details.
Offense: Push the ball when we can. Run a motion-type offense when we don't have the transitional scoring opportunities. We use a lot of screening and backdoor cuts while also utilizing the pick and roll. Defense: Team man to man defense which can either be tight or sagging. Talk constantly and rotate with the ball while remembering responsibilities when on the ball, one pass away, two passes away, etc. Press: When we have the horses in the stable we will press the fire out of our opponents with the goal of creating turnovers which lead to esay transitional baskets.
