The class provides graphic services for the school district as well as the community. This class is learning how to create and run a business with the help of Paul Francis from Jr. Achievement. They will be learning to determine the cost of production and maintaining machinery in order to develop a price for the services. They will be keeping the financial books and determine where the money is to be spent. Jr. Achieve will be presenting a seven lessons on the economics of a business. They will also learn how to present themselves professional through the Jr. Achievements ethics program to be given by a local professional Linda Jankins, later this month. The Advance Graphics class will also begin to develop a Riverside store where they will sell riverside products that they produce such as license plates, coffee mugs, and t-shirts. The class will run like a real business with the only difference being that there will not be a profit made from the service and products. All money received will be used to replace materials and maintain equipment. The non profit business will give the students an authentic learning experience that will be invaluable to their future success.
