Developing Christian character includes learning discipline in the area of clothing. We believe that the way we dress influences our conduct and is a testimony to people around us. Christian Family Academy staff have set guidelines which we hope will be economical and easy to follow. It is the student and parent's responsibility to make sure clothing guidelines are followed. Dress Code CFA T-shirts may be worn by boys and girls. Shoes must be worn at all times. Students are encouraged to bring tennis shoes for outside or gym activities. Hair should be of an acceptable color and length. Body piercings and tattoos will not be visible during school events. Students may wear jeans to school. Holes in jeans are not acceptable. Pants should not be tight. CFA staff reserves the right to prohibit the wearing of jeans during designated special events. Sweatpants will not be worn. CFA staff may authorize sweatpants during physical education class or for athletic events. Hooded sweatshirts are allowed but should have no pictures or writing except the names of clothing brands or sports teams. CFA staff reserves the right to speak to any student that they feel violates the dress code or that they feel is dressing inappropriately. All dress code standards apply at all school events. Girls Girls may wear knee-length skirts, shorts, skorts, or pants. Shirts should have no pictures or writing except the names of clothing brands. Shirts must have sleeves. Jumpers or dresses may be worn, but they must be knee-length and modest. Any slits in skirts must be below the knee. Denim skirts are also allowed. Shirts and pants should not be tight or immodest. Boys Boys should wear shirts with no pictures or writing except the names of clothing brands. Shirts must have sleeves. Cargo shorts are acceptable. For boys, hair should not cover the ears or eyebrows. Pants should not be tight.
