Grades 6-10 Social Studies

Greetings parents, friends and students of the Austin Peace Academy! I would like to welcome you to another year of Social Studies for the 6th through 10th grades. This year each grade will be undertaking an interesting and challenging course of studies in five disciplines:

6th graders will study World History and Geography.
7th graders will study Texas History and Geography.
8th graders will study U.S. History through Reconstruction.
9th & 10th graders will study World Geography 

I look forward to a rewarding and enriching year. Please feel free to contact me whenever possible about the course of studies, my students or just to say hello!

The weekly schedule with homework assignments is up on the website now. Make sure you use the selector bar to select the correct grade for your student so that you do not see the default view of all the grades! I will make every effort to update this every Friday, but please email me if you need information not listed. Also, please feel free to keep up with the classroom with my weekly newsletter found under "Classroom News." Additionally, I have added a new subsection titled "Grading Policies." This will detail how each grade level is being graded.

Please note that all schedules posted on this website are tentative and subject to change at any time without notice. Lessons move at the pace of students, not schedules, so the subjects may change day to day. I do my best to keep this accurate, but changes may happen. Thanks for your patience and understanding!
