CLASSZONE

To sign up for an account:

  1. Click on CLASSZONE
  2. Click on sign in up at the top of the page.
  3. Go to new visitors and create a student account.
  4. Enter the code 4229232-10 in the box.  (This code is only for the 6th Grade Literature book, Florida Edition)
  5. Fill in the rest of the information to create your account.
  6. 6.  When you complete your registration, please make sure you copy down your user name and password.

To access the book after you have an account:

  1. Go to www.classzone.com
  2. Under "Select Your Subject," choose Language Arts - Middle
  3. Under "Select Your State," choose Florida
  4. Click Go!
  5. Click the YELLOW Grade 6 book (the first one in the series)
  6. Look for the book icon at the bottom of the page and click Online Book.
  7. Enter your account information.
  8. Use the features at the top of the screen to navigate the book.  Check out the highlighter and sticky notes tools!  The online textbook can also read text aloud to you!  SO COOL!

For research unit click on the research link.

Rules for publishing an essay

Handwritten

  • Use blue or black ink and write neatly.
  • Write your name in the upper left corner of page 1.
  • Skip a line and center your title; skip another line and start your writing.
  • Indent every paragraph and leave a one-inch margin on all four sides.
  • Write your last name and the page number in the upper right corner of every page after the first one.

 

Typed

  • Use an easy-to-read font and a 12-point type size.
  • Type your name in the upper left corner of page 1
  • Double-space and leave a one-inch margin around all four sides 
  • Indent every paragraph.  Do NOT skip lines between paragraphs.
  • Type your last name and the page number in the upper right corner of every page after the first one.
