ALUMNI SOCCER GAME
Dear Central Regional Alumni Association, The purpose of this letter is to explain some of the details of the proposed alumni soccer game and family event and ask for your help in making it happen. We came up with this idea a couple of years ago, and we thought it would be a great way to reconnect with old friends and generate some renewed school spirit at the same time. In addition, proceeds from this event will be contributed to the alumni scholarship fund. Our plan is to have this coed alumni soccer game on September 5, 2009. For this first attempt, we would like to invite all alumni who played on either the men’s or women’s soccer teams prior to 1999. Since we can’t be sure of the interest, we don’t want to be overwhelmed with too many players. For this reason, we’ve decided to set this limit for the first year. If the event is successful, we are interested in making it an annual event, and definitely want to open it to all alumni and possibly have an additional game for younger alumni. We would like to request the use of the football field and the concession stands for this event. It is my understanding that the alumni association can assist us in requesting the use of these areas. If this request is approved, we would like to set up a committee through the alumni association to help in obtaining donations for the concessions and to coordinate the event.
