ILA
Our Reading textbook is Harcourt's Collections Series: "To Touch a Dream." They offer an online reading textbook companion located at The Learning Site - Book Menu that offers author information, bonus words, test tutoring, and other information for each story we will read this year.
Supplementing our textbook are Harcourt's Reading Practice, Grammar Practice, and Spelling Practice workbooks. Cursive is practiced in the Zaner-Bloser Handwriting books.
MATH
Our Math textbook is titled Houghton Mifflin Math. An online textbook companion is available for students at Kids' Place Houghton Mifflin Math. Among the links students may access here is extra help and practice, test taking tips and prep, brain teasers and a glossary.
Also a companion textbook site for parents is available at at Parents' Place Houghton Mifflin Math. Located here is a glossary, games, demonstrations, and ideas for math at home activities.
Supplementing our Math textbook are the Houghton Mifflin Practice Workbook and Houghton Mifflin Homework Workbook.
SOCIAL STUDIES
A new textbook series is being implemented this year. It is titled Regions. It's publisher, Scott Foresman, offers a supplemental website located at Scott Foresman Regions. The regions of the United States is studied during the first half of the school year. PA History is taught the second half of the year.
SCIENCE
The name of our textbook is Macmillan/McGraw Hill: Science. Lesson summaries, e-journal activities, crossword puzzles, and much, much more is available on their online companion located at: Macmillan/McGraw Hill: Science.
