REVIEW SHEET FOR THE LECCION PRELIMINAR (pp. 1-27 in your textbook)

Test is Wednesday, October 12

Be sure you know: (know how to spell everything)  You can also find most of this vocabulary on p. 25.

  • The Greetings, Farewells, and Introductions vocabulary sheet in your carpeta.  (Pay close attention to the differences between formal and informal versions)
  • Los números de 0-100
  • El alfabeto
  • Classroom expressions in the vocabulary section of your carpeta
  • Spanish-speaking countries on maps in the Cultura section of your carpeta
  • Days of Week, Months, Dates and weather expressions on vocab sheet in your carpeta.

Useful ways to study

  • Practice writing words to see if you know how to spell them correctly
  • Make sure you know how to do everything in the Repaso found on pp. 26 & 27
  • Look through the chapter for the Para y Piensa sections found on pp. 5, 9, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21 & 24.   (They have a red stop sign)  Answer the questions and then see if you have them correct by checking on p. R10 in the back of the book.
  • Use the www.classzone.com website. If you use the @Home Tutor you can get extra credit by emailing me the session report.  Listen to the audio files for anything you are having trouble with.
  • Use the links on the class website.  There are links to practice the numbers, the days of the week, the greetings, and the months of the year.  You can get extra credit by filling out a computer use sheet you can get from your teacher.

Be sure you can write a letter to your new penpal in Spanish including the following:

·        The date

·        A greeting  (Think of a name for your pen pal)

·        Introduce yourself including name and where you are from

·        Ask your penpal how he/she is

·        Tell him/her what the weather is like today in Minnesota and ask what the weather is like in the country he/she comes from. (in=en)

·        A closing
