Here are some links to websites that have game ideas (not online games), free worksheets and other resources that I thought might be helpful when you are working with your child at home!

 

Kindergarten:

http://www.education.com/activity/kindergarten/  Excellent activities, easy to read, easy to do at home!

http://www.readwritethink.org/student_mat/index.asp   You may need to do some experimenting to find the right tools on this site, but it's worth the effort!

http://content.scholastic.com/browse/article.jsp?id=4494  A good teacher/parent resource for lesson plans and printables...does have 1 cute, interactive game.

http://www.lessonplanspage.com/LAK1.htm  Links to many alphabet and early grammar ideas.

http://www.teachertube.com/search_result.php?search_id=blending  This site is awesome...great videos to watch to help parents and children learn how to blend sounds!*

First Grade:

http://www.kidzone.ws/phonics/index.htm  Excellent sight for phonics/keys worksheets to use at home.

http://www.adrianbruce.com/reading/games.htm  Excellent sight with clear games/plans for many of the areas children struggle with (ie: bossy r, magic"E", etc.)
