Star-Of-The-Week Star-Of-The-Week
Princess and/or Knight-of-the-Week

Each week (each group of 5 days in a row) a student

will be the Knight of the Week or the Princess of the Week. During this week, autobiographical information will be posted on a large class poster. Your child will be given the “Student-Of-The-Week” forms a week prior to his/her special week to fill out and return as soon as possible.

We will also need a photograph of your child (at any age) to tape to the chart. If a photograph is unavailable, your child may draw a self-portrait.

In addition, a “My Autobiography” will be required. It is a good idea to have your child do a rough draft first, and then have him/her rewrite their autobiography on the supplied paper. Writing an autobiography is using your imagination and facts about yourself -- your family, interests, hobbies, and etc. For example include:

·        What do you like?

·        What do you do well?

·        Who is someone you admire?

·        What do you like most about our school?

·        What’s your favorite food?

·        What are your favorite books?

·        Where were you born?

·        What’s your favorite animal?

·        And etc, etc, etc.

Photographs and completed ‘stars’ will be sent home at the end of the week. Autobiographies will be added to our Classroom Book.

Thank you for your help!
