ONE ACT PLAY PRESENTATION AT ‘09 AZ THESPIAN FESTIVAL

DIRECTORS:  Please READ these directions carefully and completely.  Print the form and submit it with your registration materials. After the registration date a schedule will be posted here. Please check back for details regularly.

Thank you for offering to bring a one act play to the state Thespian Festival!  Please READ and NOTE CAREFULLY the following logistics and schedule info below.

Your play will be performed in one of three rooms at the Civic Center.  We've asked for the seats to be set up in a somewhat semi-circle configuration. Basic stage lighting will be provided in all rooms.  You must have someone available to operate the light board.  Plan to bring your own boom-box if sound is needed.  ALL FURNITURE AND/OR SET PIECES MUST BE ABLE TO FIT THROUGH A STANDARD DOOR.  All furniture/set pieces and props must be stored in your vehicle(s) until it is time for your load-in.  With over 1700 delegates expected there will not be room to store anything in the building.  And they must be removed from the building immediately after your oral adjudication.

The schedule will be set up based on the estimated time you put down on your One-act Entry Form.  Please adhere to this schedule - just as a common courtesy to the shows before and after you, and to maintain our tight one act play schedule. If there is a conflict between any actor or techie in your one act performance, and their performing in an i.e. event, contact Steve Aberoa  I.E. coordinator, Steve_abaroa@gilbert.k12.az.us.  The same is true for any senior in the college audition session on Fri.  If there is a conflict here e-mail Cory beal at cbeal@aguafria.org  , auditions coordinator, ASAP.  The i.e. schedule has been set up with a few slots left open in case of conflicts with the one acts.  These are ONLY to be used by students who have a dead conflict between your one act time slot and their i.e. performance.  We’ve arranged the schedule so there won’t be any conflict between the one acts of any school whose troupe officers attended last summer's leadership camp, or your school’s attendance at the Fri. main stage performance.

CANCELLATION POLICY:  If you cancel your one-act AFTER NOV. 7th (when our program goes to print) you will not be allowed to bring a one-act to the 2010 Festival.  Contact me IMMEDIATELY if you need to cancel by this date, or have any questions.  Looking forward to seeing you at the state Thespian Festival.
