"Children are the living messages that we send to a time we will not see." As Queen of Heaven School continues to proclaim its CORE Values: Grounded in Faith Partnered with Family Empowered to Achieve Called to Serve Inspired to Succeed we are excited by the opportunities presented to our students in each of these areas. During the season of Advent we will be praying together, celebrating the holy season through outreach to others, performing at the annual Christmas program, and working hard to succeed academically. Our character trait for the month of December is COURAGE. Each day students are given recognition when they choose to make good decisions or stand up for what is right. These become the building blocks of our "City of God". Our 7th grade students will be hosting a Christmas Party for African refugees on the West Side of Buffalo on December 13. They will be providing refreshments and gifts to those who have little this holiday season. Thanks to Ms. Martina, Mrs. Bonn and Mrs. Jarosz for coordinating this event which reaches out to the poor. A representative of the Gilder-Lehrman Institute for Social Studies will conduct an in-service program for social studies teachers at Queen of Heaven. As an affiliate school, Q of H will have the privilege of housing a traveling exhibit of historical artifacts in March. All are invited to attend our Christmas Concert on Tuesday, December 22 at 9:00am. Children of all grades will be performing. It should be a nice way to start off the celebration of Christmas. May the Lord bless you and keep you in His care.
