                 This year we will be working on "Building the City of God" by making our school one of kindness, compassion, and peace.  Each day our students will be challenged to bring the love of Christ to others through acts of caring and concern for others.  Our fourth graders will be leading the way with special Character Education classes and projects.  The whole school will be involved in our outreach program to assist African refugees living in Buffalo.  Day by day we will strive to live out Jesus' message of building up the kingdom of God on earth.

          Our Early Literacy program has been extended to third grade this year.  This program provides strategies to differentiate instruction and meet individual student needs.  Children strengthen their skills by decoding and reading independently on their own instructional level. 

          As a school community we are continuing the self-study process for Middle States accreditiation.  Having developed a new Mission Statement as part of our work last year, we will now be focusing on individual curricular areas and special programs.  After the self-study is completed, it will be submitted to the Middle States Association of Schools and Colleges for review and a team of educators will be visiting our school.  Participation in this protocol gives us an opportunity to evaluate all areas of school life and plan for the future.

          We are pleased to be able to provide a new electronic report card this year using e-school.  This system enables us to streamlline all student information in one complete file. We hope that it will give our parents a comprehensive view of student progress.
