Goals of the Accelerated Reader Program

At our school the Accelerated Reader (AR) program is just one reading program that we use to motivate all of our students to read.  The overall goals of the program are to:

• Make essential reading practice more effective for every student.
• Personalize reading practice to each student's current level.
• Manage reading activities involved with independent reading.
• Provide an additional way to formatively assess students' reading.
• Build a lifelong love of reading and learning.

New Program

The Accelerated Reader Enterprise program gives students online access to over 100,000 quizzes on books from publishers around the world.  This means that almost every book in our library will have an A.R. test.  Go to the AR BookFinder site below to find your book's A.R. information and add books to your own personal bookbag.
