Fifth Graders are Fun!  Read & Think each night! Write about it each month!
The October book reviews are up in our classroom. Great job! Each student will do a 1 minute "Book Talk" about the book he/she read this week in class. Look for the Book Review Outline and Monthly Schedule posted at the bottom of this homepage. Parent-Teacher Conferences are coming soon! If you have not already signed up for a date/time, please contact me. Student progress reports will be ready, and we can discuss your child's achievement in the fifth grade. Conferences are the week of Nov. 16 - 20. Each day is a minimum day so that parents and teachers have time to meet. Students are dismissed at 12:30 pm each day that week.  The Star of India overnight field trip is on Friday, January 8, 2010! Fifth graders in rooms 11 and 5 will participate in The Voyage of Hope program and spend the night as sailors on the ship. Look for your child's field trip packet - sent home on Wed., Nov. 4.
Fifth Grade Promotion Meeting this Thursday, Nov. 12 @ 2:30 pm in Rm. 11 All parents are welcome! Come and share your ideas.
