What is Lion’s Roar? It is a reward for great behavior for the nine weeks. When: at the end of each nine weeks Who gets to go? All students will be allowed to attend the first Lion’s Roar. If a student receives a referral or is sent to the office during the current nine weeks, they will have to miss out on Lion’s Roar. Lion’s Roar is a privilege that can be taken away. These are the guidelines for 1st grade. The student’s teacher will notify parents if their child will be missing Lion’s Roar. The privilege of attending Lion's Roar can be taken away for all other Lion's Roar. Can parents come to Lion’s Roar? YES!! As a parent you may volunteer to help with Lion’s Roar. We need lots of volunteers to help with Lion’s Roar. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Homework Policy: Homework is sent home at the begining of the week. Homework includes: spelling, math, and reading. Homework is not required but is strongly encouraged. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Monthly Behavior Chart: A behavior chart is in your chid's folder for you to view daily. Your child's behavior for the day will be indicated on the calendar. A sticker, stamp, or smiley face indicates that your child stayed on green and had a great day. If your child had to move his/her clip during the day, I will make a note of it on the calendar. Every time your child moves his/her clip they miss 5 minutes of recess. At the end of the month students are rewarded with a treat if they acheived the set number of days on green which is indicated on the calendar. The treat will vary for each month. The students who do not acheive this goal will not be punished but will miss out on the treat. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
